Thank you! Very informative. I kind of liked the music too.

  2. Worski

I have to ask, where do you get your blank bezel charms and ring? I can’t seem to find them in bulk anywhere?

  3. Lilbitfuller

    I liked the music : )

  4. F0rkb0y

Wow the sound in this is Mono it only comes out my left speaker.

  5. amberlbrowning

    me either?

  6. MelianAlcarime

@sc7m The idea is that the resin that isn’t mixed well will be left in the other cup. It just ensures that the resin you’re using is well mixed.

@lcd1023 Oh God– —, I am lol. your comment is hilarious!! very very funny.

  8. sayterra

I think that was the point of the music… heh.

  9. sc7m

I don’t understand the point of pouring the resin into the second cup.

Excellent video. You are a terrific teacher. BUT that music made me want to chew my foot off.

  11. hunthicks

I agree, save the music for a music video. How-to videos should be talking only – the music generally just annoys and/or distracts.

  12. friedfishironskillet

The music is excellent, if i want to see and hear ozzy bite chicken heads off i’ll go to a rock concert, but i’m here for instructional purposes and the music is just fine.

  13. pixelnoggin

I wish I could change the music out :) Unfortunately, it does not appear that I can with reposting the video, thus making it harder to find.

Thanks for your input though, and for suffering through the music.

Great tutorial, but the background music is like Chinese water torture. I almost didn’t watch the whole thing because I couldn’t take one more note of that… “song.” Eeee gads, have mercy on your viewers and lose the music. Thanks!

Resin is water-proof. Diamond glaze is not

  16. pixiecrossing

This resin buisness seems like so much trouble when there are products like Diamond Glaze – someone tell me why you wouldn’t use something like that instead when it is so much easier, and less time consuming. Is it a cost issue? Is resin dirt cheap or something?

  17. VampwolfTwihard

    neat artwork used.

  18. spankses

i would say yes…but the only way to know it to try…get some ‘mould release’ to make sure it pops out for you…

  19. badazzbarbie

I work at a surf shop, can I use epoxy resin like solar res? That would be very easy since it’s already mixed and what not. Anyone know?

  20. ndktube

    Very well done.

I had the same problem with the sound–video volume, operating system volume, and speakers all cranked to max, in order to hear it.

  21. tiffymonkey

Thank you for the awesome videos.

  22. lisacrofts

love the video but i had my comp and the vid on full volume and it was very hard to hear what you are saying

  23. candimoin

actually, the volume is really low. i have it on high and its very quite for me

There is a book that is great called The Art of Resin. It covers everything from embedments to types of molds, and cleaning up your pieces. I use nail files mostly, but in the book it explains how you should file your peices under water, I guess to keep the resin from heating up and causing a white ring where it was filed. Anyway, check out that book, it’s about $22 and I got mine at Hobby Lobby. Cheers!

  25. bellacrafts

me too. any advise on smoothing rough edges?
