Hey everyone – if you love fashionable jewelry check out the donnaliza collection – it’s affordable and looks real! Just search donnaliza on google and youll find it.
Great video, thank you but i am having problems with the underside of the silver being a poorer quality once fired and polished, it looks a bit flakey!! Any advice??
Glad you found it helpful!
Couldn’t have said it better myself. If you’re not using a temperature-controlled kiln, the color of the metal is the best indicator of temperature.
You are more than welcome. Come visit our forum on our Web site to show off your creations. Hope to see you (and your work) there!
Glad to hear you like it. Feedback lets us know we’re on track.
thank you
Metal clay is a clay made up of tiny particles of metal (in this case, fine silver) held together with an organic binder. Once the clay is shaped, it’s heated with a kiln or torch until the binder burns off and the particles fuse together. It’s a new and exciting way to work with metals!
you need to watch the video… the “peachy” colour of the silver indicates the temperature. the deeper red it gets the hotter it is so need to keep it at the peachy colour, as she says.
Love it!!! 5 star
hey!
thanks for sharing such an awesome video!
but i was just wondering, how do you know the blow torch is at the specific temperature needed to fire the piece?
Ive been searching for a torch but most go way over the heating limit required for PMC/Art Clay Silver! do you have any suggestions? =)
please and thank you ^^
Nice video. Liked how it showed how to flatten the piece back out when it started to curl.
